PopOdyssey Tour
PopOdyssey was the fourth concert tour by American boy band NSYNC. Sponsored by Verizon Wireless and Chili's, the tour promoted the band's third studio album, ''Celebrity''. The tour's name is defined as "an adventurous journey towards popularity, beginning as just a dream and ending in reality". The tour became the biggest production in pop music, beating U2's PopMart Tour. The tour, which visited stadiums, was NSYNC's first to include backup dancers, and is known for its elaborate audio and visual effects which included lasers, fireworks, animation, and suspension wires. The 2001 tour earned over $90 million, becoming one of the biggest tours of the year. It was also nominated for "Most Creative Stage Production" for Pollstar's "Concert Industry Awards". NSYNC (, ; also stylized as *NSYNC or 'N Sync) was an American boy band formed by Chris Kirkpatrick in Orlando, Florida, in 1995 and launched in Germany by BMG Ariola Munich. Their self-titled debut album was successfully released to European countries in 1997, and later debuted in the U.S. market with the single "I Want You Back". After heavily publicized legal battles with their former manager Lou Pearlman and former record label Bertelsmann Music Group, the group's second album, '' No Strings Attached'' (2000), sold over one million copies in one day and 2.4 million copies in one week, which was a record for over fifteen years. BBMak
BBMak are an English band consisting of Mark Barry, Christian Burns and Stephen McNally. Formed in Liverpool in 1996, they sold over three million albums worldwide between 1999 and 2003. The band first achieved success when their single "Back Here" gained popularity in radio stations in Asia and they later signed with Hollywood Records in the U.S. The band reworked their debut album '' Sooner or Later'' for an American release in 2000, and the album charted at number 38 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart with "Back Here" becoming a top 20 hit. BBMak's success in the American market helped the band finally break through in their home country. ''YM'' was an American teen magazine that began in 1932. The magazine ceased publication in 2004. History The magazine was published for 72 years. It was the oldest girls' magazine in the United States. ''YM'' got its start as two magazines in the 1930s—''Compact'', which was aimed at older teens, and ''Calling All Girls'', which was intended for younger girls and pioneered the signature embarrassing-moments column, "Say Anything".
