''Pools of Darkness'' is a novel based on the ''Pools of Darkness'' computer role-playing game. It was written by James Ward and Anne K. Brown, and published by TSR in February 1992. Jim Ward (game Designer)
James M. Ward (born May 23, 1951) is an American game designer and fantasy author who worked for TSR, Inc. for more than 20 years. Career ''Dungeons & Dragons'' and TSR Ward was one of the players in Gary Gygax's early Greyhawk games as Gygax developed the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' game. The ''Dungeons & Dragons'' character Drawmij was named after him; "Drawmij" is simply "Jim Ward" spelled backwards. Robert J. Kuntz, Rob Kuntz and Ward's ''Gods, Demi-Gods & Heroes'' (1976) expanded the Dungeons & Dragons (1974), original ''D&D'' game by introducing gods. ''Pool of Radiance'' is a role-playing video game developed and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc (SSI) in 1988. Fred Fields is an American artist whose work has appeared largely in the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game from TSR. Biography Fred Fields was born in northern Kentucky. He grew up in the small town of Burlington, Kentucky. Fields wanted to be an artist since childhood: "I don't know that becoming an artist is a decision you can make...
