Léa Pool
Léa Pool C.M. (born 8 September 1950) is a Swiss-Canadian filmmaker who taught film at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has directed several documentaries and feature films, many of which have won significant awards including the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, and she was the first woman to win the prize for Best Film at the Quebec Cinema Awards. Pool's films often opposed stereotypes and refused to focus on heterosexual relations, preferring individuality. Early life Pool was born in Soglio, Switzerland in 1950, and raised in Lausanne. Her father was Jewish and a Holocaust survivor from Poland; her mother's family was Christian of Swiss descent and she chose to use her mother's last name. Vicetone is a Dutch electronic music DJ and production duo formed by Ruben den Boer ((), born 22 January 1992) and Victor Pool (born 9 July 1992) from Groningen. The duo began as a DJ act, and in 2013, they were voted into the ''DJ Mag'' Top 100 DJs list for the first time at 60th as a new entry. Later in 2014, they went up 24 places on the list, coming 36th. In 2015, they fell 14 places to 50th. They made a return to the Top 100, coming in at 83rd in 2019 but dropped out the subsequent year. Herbert Edwin "Ted" Pool (9 November 1905 – 11 February 1975) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of William James Pool (1882-1934), and Harriet Jane Pool (1885-1962), née George, Herbert Edwin Pool was born at Boulder, Western Australia on 9 November 1905. He married Thelma Marjorie Batten (1910-1989), one of twins, on 28 March 1934. Football Hawthorn (VFL) Pool was a rover, and by playing 200 games of VFL football he became the first West Australian-born player to reach that milestone. Despite his ability, playing for Victoria seven times, Hawthorn were a very poor team during his career. Theodor Pool (8 December 1890 Piistaoja (now Tori Parish), Kreis Pernau – 25 August 1942 Sverdlovsk, Russian SFSR) was an Estonian politician, agronomist and writer. Steve Pool is a retired chief weather anchor. He began covering sports for KOMO-TV in Seattle in 1977 and eventually became the principal weather anchor for that station from 1984 to 2019. Pool started his career at KOMO-TV as an intern while studying at the University of Washington. After graduating in 1978, Pool became a writer, reporter, and eventually a weather caster. In the 1980s, Pool began hosting a program on KOMO-TV titled "Front Runners" which aired every Saturday.
