''Poo'' () is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Sasi, based on the short story, ''Veyilodu Poi'' written by Thamizh Selvan. The film, produced by Moser Baer and Nesagee Cinemas, stars Srikanth and Parvathy. It was released on 28 November 2008. Plot The film is set in a village named Kongankulam, located between Rajapalayam and Sivakasi in southern Tamil Nadu. It entails two different dreams of two different people for one person. The main aspects of this film are of the selfless, deep love and admiration that Maari develops for her cousin Thangarasu and the love and expectations of a poor, hardworking father to his son Thangarasu. The film begins showing Maari happily married to her husband Karuppasamy, a small shop owner. She leads an uncomplaining life with a smile on her face at all shades of events, which fascinates even Karuppasamy. Sasi (director)
Sasidharan known as Sasi is an Indian Film Director, Screenwriter, working primarily in Tamil Cinema based in Chennai. He made his directorial debut with ''Sollamale'' in 1998, followed by a series of successful romantic films like ''Roja Kootam'' (2002), ''Dishyum'' (2006), '' Poo'' (2008). His first action film was '' Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu'' (2013), followed by ''Pichaikkaran'' (2016), ''Sivappu Manjal Pachai'' (2019) Career He made his directorial debut with ''Sollamale'' in 1998 and the Telugu movie '' Seenu'' (1999). It was followed with a series of successful romance films ''Roja Kootam'' (2002) and ''Dishyum'' (2006). In January 2007, he decided to make '' Poo'' (2008), after being inspired by the romantic short story of Veyilodu Poi written by Thamizh Selvan, noting that the effect that the story had on him was "Mind-blowing" and decided that he had "to take the story to everyone".

Shankar Mahadevan (born 3 March 1967) is an Indian singer and composer who is part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio that writes music for Indian films. Personal life and early career Shankar Mahadevan was born in Chembur, Mumbai into a Tamil speaking family from Palakkad, Kerala. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer. Harini (singer)
Harini (born 30 April 1979) is an Indian film playback singer and classical singer who sings in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films, working with many leading film composers. She is married to another playback singer, Tippu. Harini learnt Carnatic music from Gowri and Radha Viswanathan from the age of four. In her later years, she learned from Sudha Raghunathan and currently from Suguna Purushotthaman. She used to participate in school competitions and in one such competition which she won, A. R. Rahman who distributed the prizes invited the winners to his studio to record their voices. ''Kalavani'' () is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by newcomer A. Sarkunam.
