Pompeii (album)
''Pompeii'' is the fifth album by German progressive rock group Triumvirat Triumvirat was a West German progressive rock band from Cologne in then-West Germany. They became, during the 1970s, a key figure in Eurock, the progressive rock of continental Europe whose German variant is called krautrock. The name Triumvirat .... The band released the album under the name of "The New Triumvirat" due to temporary legal squabbles over the original name from former members, drummer Hans Bathelt and bassist Werner Frangenberg. They were replaced by drummer Curt Cress and bassist Dieter Petereit, both from the band Passport. Beirut (band)
Beirut is an American band that was originally the solo musical project of Zach Condon. Beirut's music combines elements of indie rock and world music. The band's first performance with the full brass section was in New York, in May 2006, in support of their debut album ''Gulag Orkestar'', but performed their first show with Condon, Petree, and Collins at the College of Santa Fe earlier that year. Condon named the band after Lebanon's capital, because of the city's history of conflict and as a place where cultures collide. Beirut performed in Lebanon for the first time in 2014, at the Byblos International Festival. History Early years Zach Condon was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 13, 1986. Progressive Rock
Progressive rock (shortened as prog rock or simply prog; sometimes conflated with art rock) is a broad genre of rock music that developed in the United Kingdom and United States through the mid- to late 1960s, peaking in the early 1970s. It was their first recording as a four-piece band, with British singer Barry Palmer and German bassist Werner Frangenberg replacing their previous singer-bassist Helmut Köllen. Jürgen Fritz (born March 12, 1953 in Köln) is a German musician. He was the keyboard player in progressive rock band Triumvirat. He also composed the film score to the 1989 science fiction film ''Hard to Be a God'' and also published a solo album in 1990, ''Millennium''. In 1986-1988 he collaborated with German disco group Bad Boys Blue as arranger and keyboardist. Capitol Records, LLC (known legally as Capitol Records, Inc. until 2007) is an American record label distributed by Universal Music Group through its Capitol Music Group imprint.
