Polillo Islands
The Polillo Islands is a group of about 27 islands in the Philippine Sea lying about to the east of the Philippine island of Luzon. It is separated from Luzon Island by the Polillo Strait and forms the northern side of Lamon Bay. The islands are part of the province of Quezon in the Calabarzon region of the Philippines. The combined land area of all the islands is about 875 square kilometers making Polillo islands even larger than the island city-state of Singapore. Philippine Sea
The Philippine Sea is a marginal sea of the Western Pacific Ocean east of the Philippine archipelago (hence the name), the largest in the world, occupying an estimated surface area of . The Philippine Sea Plate forms the floor of the sea. Its western border is the first island chain to the west, comprising the Ryukyu Islands in the northwest and Taiwan in the west. Its southwestern border comprises the Philippine islands of Luzon, Catanduanes, Samar, Leyte, and Mindanao. Its northern border comprises the Japanese islands of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyūshū. Lamon Bay
Lamon Bay is a large bay in the southern part of Luzon island in the Philippines. It is a body of water connecting the southern part of Quezon province to the Philippine Sea, a marginal sea of the Pacific Ocean. It borders on the coastal towns of Atimonan, Gumaca, Plaridel, Quezon, Plaridel, Lopez, Quezon, Lopez, Calauag, and the islands of Alabat Island, Alabat. It is a rich fishing ground and the home of various living corals. Most parts of the bay consist of gray sand, some parts are filled with rocks, and other living corals. It is gradually sloping to the extent that, during low tide, the water level is low enough to allow one to walk as far as five hundred metres from the shore like in Pulong Pasig of Calauag. Infanta, Quezon
Infanta, officially the Municipality of Infanta ( tgl, Bayan ng Infanta, Ilocano: ''Ili ti Infanta''), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 76,186 people. Infanta is the largest lambanog manufacturer in the province of Quezon. The town is also known for its ''bayugo'' (giant mountain snail) dishes. The town is currently undergoing preparations for establishing a ''bayugo'' breeding center that would supply ''bayugo'' to townsfolk. Patnanungan, officially the Municipality of Patnanungan ( tgl, Bayan ng Patnanungan), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 15,052 people. Aurora (province)
Aurora, officially the Province of Aurora ( fil, Lalawigan ng Aurora; ilo, Probinsia ti Aurora), is a province in the Philippines located in the eastern part of Central Luzon region, facing the Philippine Sea. Polillo Island
Polillo () is an island in the northeastern region of the Philippine archipelago. It is the largest island and the namesake of the Polillo Islands. It is separated from Luzon Island by the Polillo Strait and forms the northern side of Lamon Bay. The island itself is subdivided across three municipalities. The municipality of Polillo covers the southern portion of the island, while the northeastern part is administered by the municipality of Burdeos. The northwest is within the jurisdiction of the municipality of Panukulan. The island is also home to the Butaan lizard, a vulnerable relative of the Komodo dragon. Burdeos Bay
Burdeos, officially the Municipality of Burdeos ( tl, Bayan ng Burdeos), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 24,644 people. Burdeos was created in 1948 from the barrios of Burdeos, San Rafael, Amot, Aluyon, Magdalo, Patnanungan, Calotcot, Karlagan and Palasan island which then belonged to the town of Polillo, Quezon.
