Pol Espargaró
Pol Espargaró Villà (born 10 June 1991) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer who for 2023 will ride in the MotoGP class for the newly named GasGas Factory Racing team, a development of Tech3. He previously spent two years with Repsol Honda. Pol is the younger brother of fellow MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaró, and is best known for winning the 2013 Moto2 World Championship. This earned him a move to Monster Yamaha Tech3 in 2014 but had 3 largely unsuccessful seasons failing to score a single podium. He won the Suzuka 8 Hours in 2015 with Bradley Smith and Katsuyuki Nakasuga, and in 2016 with Nakasuga and Alex Lowes. He is the first rider to finish on the podium riding a KTM motorcycle in MotoGP. Granollers
Granollers () is a city in central Catalonia, about 30 kilometres north-east of Barcelona. It is the capital and most densely populated city in the comarca of Vallès Oriental. Suzuka 8 Hours
The is a motorcycle endurance race held at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan each year. The race runs for eight hours consecutively and entrants are composed of two or more riders who alternate during pitstops. History The race began in 1978 as a race for prototype Tourist Trophy Formula One (TT-F1) motorcycles which meant the big four Japanese companies ( Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha), who had unlimited engineering resources, could use them on the track. Throughout the years, the race had gone through several rule changes in accordance to the FIM, including the restriction to 750cc for F1 bikes. One major change for the race came in 1993. The 2007 Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix was the opening round of the 2007 MotoGP championship. It took place on the weekend of 8–10 March 2007 at the 5.38 km Losail International Circuit in Qatar. The MotoGP race was the first for the 800cc (48.8 cu in) engines and the Honda RC212V. 2007 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 2007 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 59th F.I.M Road Racing World Championship season. The season consisted out of 18 races for the MotoGP class and 17 for the 125cc and 250cc classes, beginning with the Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix on 10 March 2007 and ending with the Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix on 4 November. Season summary The 2007 season was significant as it introduced a new regulation which specifies that competitors in the MotoGP class were allowed use up to 800 cc motorcycles; between 2002 and 2006, competitors had been allowed to use 990 cc motorcycles. While the 800cc motorcycles had less power than their 990cc counterparts, their ability to brake later and carry more speed through turns due to their lighter weight (which actually increased their power to weight ratio) allowed them to break lap records in pre-season testing. The 2006 Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix was the last race of the 2006 Motorcycle Grand Prix season. It took place on the weekend of 27–29 October 2006 at the Valencia circuit. The MotoGP riders' championship was decided at this race, as Nicky Hayden's third place ensured he completed the season with more points than his rival, and polesitter for the race, Valentino Rossi, who finished down in thirteenth after he fell during the race. 2006 Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2006 Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix was the seventh round of the 2006 MotoGP Championship. It took place on the weekend of 16–18 June 2006 at the Circuit de Catalunya located in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain. The MotoGP race was initially red flagged after a crash at the first corner, caused by Loris Capirossi's Ducati making contact with teammate Sete Gibernau's front brake lever. Six riders were involved; John Hopkins, Dani Pedrosa and Randy de Puniet were able to take the restart, while Gibernau, Capirossi and Marco Melandri were not. After the second start was aborted due to an issue with Chris Vermeulen's Suzuki on the grid, the grid reformed for a third time and the race was shortened from 25 laps to 24. Andrea Iannone (born 9 August 1989) is an Italian professional motorcycle racer who competed in the MotoGP World Championship from 2013 to 2019. Iannone is a race winner in MotoGP, Moto2 and 125 cc World Championships.
