Brayden Point
Brayden Point (born March 13, 1996) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Lightning selected Point in the third round, 79th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Point won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021, leading the playoffs in goal scoring both times, including scoring the Stanley Cup-clinching goal of the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals. Playing career Major junior career Point was drafted in the first round, fourteenth overall by the Moose Jaw Warriors of the 2011 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft. In his first full season with the club, he scored 24 goals and 57 points in 67 games. Colton Robert Point (born March 4, 1998) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Point was drafted in the fifth-round, 128th overall, by the Dallas Stars in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning professional, he attended Colgate University, where he was named to the AHCA East Second-Team All-American, NCAA (ECAC) Second All-Star Team, and was a Hobey Baker Award finalist. Craig Point (born January 19, 1986), is an Iroquois lacrosse player who currently plays for the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League and the Six Nations Chiefs of Major Series Lacrosse. He was born in Ohsweken, Ontario, and comes from the Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation. Amateur career Point led the Six Nations Arrows of the OLA Junior A Lacrosse League to four straight league championships and a Minto Cup national championship in 2007. Mrs. Alex. McVeigh Miller (, Point; after first marriage, Davis; after second marriage, Miller; April 30, 1850 – December 26, 1937) was the pen name of Mittie Frances Clarke Point, an American novelist. She wrote 80 dime novels during a 50-year career. Her first novel was ''Rosamond'', but her success began with the 1883 romance, ''The Bride of the Tomb''. She died in 1937. Steven Lewis Point, (''Xwĕ lī qwĕl tĕl'') (born July 28, 1951) is a Canadian jurist and current chancellor of the University of British Columbia. He served as the 28th Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia from 2007 to 2012. He also served as the chair of the advisory committee on the safety and security of vulnerable women, a committee that provides community-based guidance to the implementation of the recommendations from the Missing Women Commission of Inquiry. Susan Point
Susan Point (born 1952) is a Musqueam Coast Salish artist from Canada, who works in the Coast Salish tradition. Her sculpture, prints and public art works include pieces installed at the Vancouver International Airport, the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C., Stanley Park in Vancouver, the Museum of Anthropology at UBC, the Penn Museum in Philadelphia, and the city of Seattle. Biography Point was born in Alert Bay while her parents, Edna Grant and Anthony Point were salmon fishing. Her parents both used the Salish language Halkomelem in their home on the Musqueam Indian Reserve. In the early 1980s, she joined a group of artists interested in reviving the traditions of Coast Salish art and design, including artists such as Stan Greene, Rod Modeste, and Floyd Joseph. Jason LaPoint (Born January 30, 1977 in Woodburn, Oregon) is a former racing driver. LaPoint won the 2001 USF2000 championship and also competed in Star Mazda and the Atlantic Championship. Career LaPoint participated in karting championships of the SKUSA and WKA starting in 1989. In 1995 and 1996 LaPoint won the IKF Grand National Championship in the Formula 125 class. After karting LaPoint moved into the Skip Barber National Championship Western Race Series in early November 1998. At Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca LaPoint finished his first race in fifth place. His first win was at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in early 1999. LaPoint finished fourteenth in the championship standings.
