Andreas Pohle (born 6 April 1981 in Erfurt) is a German long jumper and triple jumper. In the long jump he finished eleventh at the 2002 European Championships and ninth at the 2002 IAAF World Cup. His personal best jump is 7.97 metres, achieved in June 2002 in Bad Langensalza. In the triple jump he competed at the 2004 Olympic Games and the 2007 European Indoor Championships without reaching the finals. Christian Nikolai Richard Pohle (russian: Рихард Рихардович Поле, Richard Richardovytch Pohle; 5 August 1869–4 August 1926) was a Baltic German botanist. Life and work Born in Riga, he studied in Germany and earned his doctorate degree from Dresden University of Technology. 1905-1916 he worked at Saint Petersburg Botanical Garden. David Pohle
David Pohle (1624 – 20 December 1695) was a German composer of the Baroque era. His surname is also spelled Pohl, Pohlen, Pole, Pol or Bohle. Biography Pohle was born in Marienberg into a family of civic musicians. He was a pupil of Heinrich Schütz in Dresden.Snyder. He and his brother Samuel joined the ''Kapelle'' of Christian I, Duke of Saxe-Merseburg as instrumentalists. From 1650 to 1652 his presence at Kassel is documented. From 1653 he was at the Holstein-Gottorp court in Schleswig. In a baptismal record of 1660 he is named as "'' Concertmeister'' to the prince of Magdeburg", namely Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels. Pohle became the ''Kapellmeister'' for the Duke's court at Halle that same year, succeeding Philipp Stolle. The poet and dramatist David Elias Heidenreich worked in the Saxon courts as an official, and provided the libretti for a number of the ''Singspiel'' operas that Pohle composed. Pohle's fruit bat (''Casinycteris ophiodon'') is a near threatened species of megabat found in the subtropical and tropical forests of Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Liberia.
