Pocosol, San Carlos
Pocosol is a district of the San Carlos canton, in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica. History Pocosol was created on 3 November 1983 by Acuerdo Ejecutivo 231. Segregated from Cutris. Geography Pocosol has an area of km² and an elevation of metres. It is located in the northern region of the country and its limits are, to the north Nicaragua, to the south Monterrey, to the west Los Chiles, to the east Cutris. Its head, the town of Santa Rosa, is located 44.7 km (1 hour) NE of Ciudad Quesada and 144 km (2 hours 51 minutes) to the NW of San Jose the capital of the nation. It presents a level ground in almost all its extension. Demographics For the 2011 census, Pocosol had a population of inhabitants. National Primary Route 35, or just Route 35 ( es, Ruta Nacional Primaria 35, or ) is a National Road Route of Costa Rica, located in the Alajuela province, and it is a road that serves the central north area of Costa Rica. Description Completely contained in the Alajuela province, this is as of 2019 an almost straight road between San Carlos and Los Chiles, this road together with Route 4 and Route 32 allows the access between the Caribbean side of the country to the northern Alajuela districts and Nicaragua. Alajuela Province
Alajuela () is a province of Costa Rica. It is located in the north-central part of the country, bordering Nicaragua to the north. It also borders the provinces of Heredia to the east, San José to the south, Puntarenas to the southwest and Guanacaste to the west. As of 2011, the province had a population of 885,571. Alajuela is composed of 16 cantons, which are divided into 111 districts. It covers an area of 9,757.53 square kilometers. The provincial capital is Alajuela. Other large cities include Quesada, Aguas Zarcas, Naranjo, Zarcero, Orotina, Sarchí Norte, Upala, San Ramón, Grecia and Los Chiles.
