Pochampalli taluk is one of the seven taluks of Krishnagiri district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The majority of the population speak Tamil. The headquarters of the district is at Pochampalli. Geography Pochampalli taluk is located in the southeast of Krishnagiri district. It is bordered to the north by Bargur town and Tirupathur district, to the east and southeast by Uthangarai taluk, to the south and southwest by Dharmapuri district, and to the northwest by Krishnagiri taluk. Dharmapuri District
Dharmapuri is one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil-Nadu, India. It is the first district created in Tamil Nadu after the independence of India by splitting it from then-Salem district on 2 October 1965. Dharmapuri District is one of the major producers of mango in the state, fine quality granite is found in the district. It is also one of the main sericulture belts in the state. Around 30 percent of the district's area is under forest cover. Kaveri enters Tamil Nadu through this district. Tirupattur district, or Tirupathur district, is one of the 38 districts in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The district was formed in 2019 by the division of Vellore district into three smaller districts. A tehsil (, also known as tahsil, taluka, or taluk) is a local unit of administrative division in some countries of South Asia.
