Byron Chubbuck
Byron Shane Chubbuck (born February 26, 1967), also known Oso Blanco de Aztlán and popularly referred to as Robin the Hood is a convicted American bank robber and indigenous activist. He has been officially charged with around 20 bank robberies, but Chubbuck himself puts the number closer to 50. During his criminal run, he informed bank tellers that the money which he stole would go towards the indigenous Zapatista Army in Southern Mexico. After being charged with 13 counts of bank robbery and 1 count of attempted bank robbery, he was imprisoned at Santa Fe County Jail, where he remained until fleeing in December 2000. During this time, he was placed under the "15 most wanted" list of fugitives by the United States Marshal Service. In February 2001, he was captured again by FBI agents after a vehicle stakeout and car chase. After being caught, he was sentenced to 80 years of jail time with a release date of 2071. Christine Chubbuck
Christine "Chris" Chubbuck (August 24, 1944 – July 15, 1974) was an American television news reporter who worked for stations WTOG and WXLT-TV in Sarasota, Florida. She was the first person to die by suicide on a live television broadcast. Early life Christine Chubbuck was born in Hudson, Ohio, the daughter of Margaretha D. "Peg" (1921–1994) and George Fairbanks Chubbuck (1918–2015). She had two brothers, Greg and Tim. Chubbuck attended the Laurel School for Girls in Shaker Heights, a suburb of Cleveland. During her years at Laurel, she jokingly formed a "Dateless Wonder Club" with other "rejected" girls who did not have dates on Saturday nights. Chubbuck attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, for one year, majoring in theater arts, then attended Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, before earning a degree in broadcasting at Boston University in 1965. Emily Chubbuck (later, Emily Judson; pseudonym, Fanny Forester; August 23, 1817 – June 1, 1854) was an American poet. Biography Emily Chubbuck was born to poor parents in Eaton, New York on August 23, 1817. In 1834 she became a teacher and joined a Baptist church. In 1840 she entered the Utica female seminary and wrote her first book, ''Charles Linn'', in 1841. She developed a literary friendship with Nathaniel Parker Willis, who she described as the foster-father of her intellect. Willis and Chubbuck first corresponded in June 1844 after her failed attempt at writing children's stories. She was published in Willis's ''New York Mirror'', opening the door for contributions to other journals including ''The Columbian'' and ''Graham's Magazine''. In 1845, Chubbuck met the author Horace Binney Wallace, whom she described as "a man of talent, a scholar, and a perfect gentleman".
