Plymouth And District Combination League
The Plymouth and West Devon Football League, or just the PWD or P&D, is a football competition based in Devon, England. The league's top division, the Premier Division, sits at level 12 of the English football league system. This top division is a direct feeder to the Devon League South & West. The league currently has two Saturday divisions – Premier Division and Division One – along with five Sunday divisions. History In Plymouth, between World War One and Two there was a United Churches League – which was the origin of the Plymouth Combination League. The Devon County Football Association, also simply known as the ''Devon FA'', is the governing body of football in the county of Devon. The Devon FA was founded in 1888 in Plymouth. They run a number of league and cup competitions for teams of all levels across the county, and representative teams for Senior Ladies, Under 18 Men and Under 18 Ladies. South West Peninsula League
The South West Peninsula League (SWPL) is a football competition in England, which was formed in 2007 from the merger of the Devon County League and the South Western League. The league is restricted to clubs based in Cornwall, Devon and West Dorset. The league consists of two Premier Divisions (East and West), which are ranked at Step 6 in the National League System. Until 2019–20, there was a single Premier Division at Step 6, and two divisions at Step 7 (Division One West and Division One East). Subject to applying, receiving the required ground grading and finishing high enough in the league table, one club from each Premier Division can be promoted to the Western League Premier Division each season. The South Devon Football League, known under a sponsorship arrangement as the TCSSDFL, is a football competition based in England. Its top division, the ''Premier Division'', sits at level 12 of the English football league system. This league is a feeder to the Devon Football League. There are five divisions in the league. The SDFL's primary cup competition is the Herald Cup. It is a simple knockout competition featuring all SDFL clubs (first teams only). Following the formation of the East Devon FA in 1903, the league came into existence as the Torquay and District League for the 1903/04 season. The first winners were Ellacombe. The East Cornwall Premier League (ECPL) is a football competition based in Cornwall and west Devon, England, in the United Kingdom. The league sits at level 12 of the English football league system and consists of 18 clubs. Due to a sponsorship arrangement, the league is currently known as the RRL East Cornwall Premier League. Up to 20 clubs competed in a single division until the 2005–06 season, after which the league was split into two divisions for the first time, with the top 14 clubs from 2005–06 forming the Premier Division and the remaining clubs and a number of Plymouth-based sides transferring from the Plymouth and West Devon League to form a new Division One. Duchy League
The Duchy League is a football competition based in the eastern half of Cornwall, United Kingdom, but also includes a few sides from over the border in Devon. The League was formed in 1965 as a merger of the Liskeard & District League and the St. Austell & District League. It has three divisions headed by the Duchy League Premier Division, which sits at level 13 of the English football league system. It is a feeder to the East Cornwall League. In 2014–15, Padstow United won the Premier Division, and earned promotion to the East Cornwall League. Torpoint ( kw, Penntorr) is a civil parish and town on the Rame Peninsula in southeast Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated opposite the city of Plymouth across the Hamoaze which is the tidal estuary of the River Tamar.
