Playa Herradura (Herradura Beach) is a coastal town in the Central Pacific Region of Costa Rica. It is located about north of Jacó in the province of Puntarenas. The name Herradura (horseshoe) refers to the horseshoe shape of the bay. The town has developed into an important tourist destination in Costa Rica. Juan Santamaría International Airport
Juan Santamaría International Airport ( es, Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría) is the primary airport serving San José, the capital of Costa Rica.
