Playa, Havana
Playa is a Cuban municipality, located in the Havana province. It covers an area of 36.8 square kilometers, which makes up 8.95% of the provincial extension. Geography Playa is the most northwestern of the ''municipios''. It stretches from the Almendares River in the east, to Santa Fe in the west. It includes the upmarket district of Miramar and the former fishing village of Jaimanitas. Other districts include Flores, Náutico, Siboney, Kohly and Buenavista. Many societies and venues have been located in the area, including the Buena Vista Social Club. Bauta is a municipality and town located southwest of Havana City, in the Artemisa Province of Cuba since 2010 as a result of the division of what was the Province of Havana (Havana Countryside). Ciudad Libertad Airport
Ciudad Libertad Airport is a defunct airport near Havana, Cuba. and formerly known as El Aeropuerto de Columbia. Located in the borough of Playa, it was Cuba's main airport until 1930, when it was replaced by José Martí International Airport. The airport was also the location of the 1960 Cuban Grand Prix. The International School of Havana (ISH) is an international school in Cuba, located in Miramar, Havana. History ISH was founded in 1965 by Phyllis Powers, a British expatriate, to educate the children of diplomatic missions' staff.
