The Cabinet of Israel (officially: he, ממשלת ישראל ''Memshelet Yisrael'') exercises executive authority in the State of Israel. It consists of ministers who are chosen and led by the prime minister. The composition of the government must be approved by a vote of confidence in the Knesset (the Israeli parliament). The Open Location Code (OLC) is a geocode based in a system of regular grids for identifying an area anywhere on the Earth. Alon Natan Schuster ( he, אַלּוֹן נָתָן שׁוּסְטֶר, born 2 March 1957) is an Israeli politician. He was mayor of Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council between 2002 and 2018 and the Minister of Agriculture from 2020 to 2021. He has been Deputy Minister of Defense since 2021. Biography Schuster was born in kibbutz Mefalsim in 1957; his father was from Germany and mother from Argentina. After leaving school he did a Service Year in Sderot before enlisting in the Israel Defense Forces for his national service, joining the Nahal Brigade. The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) is a 1951 multilateral treaty overseen by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization that aims to secure coordinated, effective action to prevent and to control the introduction and spread of pests of plants and plant products. Agriculture in Israel is a highly developed industry. Israel is a major exporter of fresh produce and a world-leader in agricultural technologies despite the fact that the geography of the country is not naturally conducive to agriculture. More than half of the land area is desert, and the climate and lack of water resources do not favor farming. Only 20% of the land area is naturally arable.
