Planet Single
''Planet Single'' ( pl, Planeta singli) is a 2016 Polish comedy film directed by Mitja Okorn. Plot Ania and Tomek Ania, a single 27 year old elementary school music teacher, goes on an online date. When her date, "Ant_Man", does not show up, a successful TV-host and puppeteer Tomek notices her. As he is very popular with women, he believes her to be an easy game. He preys on Ania's unsuccessful situation in order to convince her to sleep with him. Ania, however, is not impressed by his brusqueness and tells him she expects knightly behaviour from any suitor. In the next TV-show episode Tomek presents a puppet, "Hania", closely resembling Ania and makes fun of "Hania's" character and behavior. Following the strong reactions to the episode, the show is scheduled to air on primetime. This causes that Marcel, the show's producer and Tomek's long-time friend, is replaced. Mitja Okorn (born 26 January 1981) is a Slovenian film director and screenwriter. Most known as director of '' Letters to Santa'', '' Planet Single'' and his Hollywood debut '' Life in a Year''. Early life He was born on 26 January 1981 in Kranj. He graduated at high school of economics and studied at School of Economics and Business in University of Ljubljana, then he quit the college in the third year. He never studied at Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (AGRFT) in Ljubljana, the main Slovenian film school institution, as he accused them of stagnating for decades. Maciej Jerzy Stuhr (born 23 June 1975) is a Polish actor, comedian and occasional film director. Life and career In 1999, he majored in psychology from the Jagiellonian University before moving on to study acting at Kraków's National Academy of Theatre Arts, which he finished in 2003. Biography He was born in Radom, where his parents – Hanna and Andrzej Karolak – were officers of the Polish People's Army during the Polish People's Republic (they served in the Air Regiment and Missile Squadron).
