''Planet Pit'' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Pitbull. It was released on June 17, 2011, through Polo Grounds Music, Mr. 305 Entertainment, Sony Music, and J Records. The production on the album was handled by a variety of pop and hip hop producers including David Guetta, RedOne, Dr. Luke, Jim Jonsin, Benny Blanco, Soulshock, Afrojack, DJ Snake and Polow da Don. The album also features guest appearances by Vein, Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer, Marc Anthony, T-Pain, Enrique Iglesias, Sean Paul, Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Jamie Drastik, DJ Frank E, Redfoo, David Rush, Jamie Foxx, David Guetta, Akon, Ludacris, Nicola Fasano, Nelly and Machel Montano. Musically, the album was created with the goal that every song on the album could serve as one single. The album is influenced by Pitbull's childhood years listening to merengue, freestyle, cha-cha-cha, Miami bass, hip hop and dancehall. Pitbull (rapper)
Armando Christian Pérez (born January 15, 1981), known professionally by his stage name Pitbull, is an American rapper and businessman. He began his career in the early 2000s, recording reggaeton, Latin hip hop, and crunk music under a multitude of labels. In 2004, he released his debut album '' M.I.A.M.I.'' under TVT Records and the executive production of Lil Jon. Pitbull later released his second album, ''El Mariel'', in 2006 and his third, ''The Boatlift'', in 2007. Marc Kinchen (born August 3, 1972), known by his initials MK, is an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He hit number-one on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 with the songs "Always" and "Love Changes". Lead vocals on both of those tracks were performed by Alana Simon (songs were credited to MK featuring Alana). The combo also recorded the underground house music classic anthem "Burning". Soulshock
Carsten Schack (born 1968 in Gug, Denmark) and better known by his stage name Soulshock is a Danish record producer and songwriter. Beginnings Carsten Schack was born in the Aalborg suburb of Gug, the son of economics professor Bent Schack and physician assistant Åse Schack. In the early 1990s he dated choreographer Toniah Pedersen for 3 years. Since 1993 he had been living in Los Angeles in the USA with his girlfriend Charmayne Maxwell, former vocalist of American R&B group Brownstone, with whom he has a son, Nicholas. His music career began as a DJ, when in 1989 he came joint third place in the DMC European Mixing Championships. This gave him a DJ job at Queen Latifah's European tour, and later a remix job for the artist.
