Plamen Getov
Plamen Tsvetanov Getov ( bg, Пламен Цветанов Гетов; born 4 March 1959) is a Bulgarian retired Association footballer, footballer who played as either an Midfielder#Attacking midfielder, attacking midfielder or a Forward (association football)#Striker, striker. A skillful Direct free kick, free-kick taker, he scored numerous goals from different positions, in a career which spanned almost 20 years. Getov represented Bulgaria national football team, Bulgaria at the 1986 FIFA World Cup, 1986 World Cup. Career Born in Sungurlare, Getov grew up in Varna, Bulgaria, Varna. A product of PFC Spartak 1918, Spartak Varna's youth academy, he progressed to their first-team in the 1977–78 season. Sungurlare
Sungurlare ( bg, Сунгурларе, ) is a town in southeastern Bulgaria, part of Burgas Province. It is the administrative centre of Sungurlare municipality, which lies in the northwestern part of Burgas Province. Sungurlare lies in a valley 80 kilometres west-northwest of Burgas, 25 kilometres west of Karnobat. The area has been inhabited since antiquity, with several Thracian mounds, pottery and Ancient Roman coins discovered. The present town was first mentioned in Ottoman tax registers in the 16th century. 44 local families moved to present Ukraine during the Ottoman rule of Bulgaria, founding Bulgarian colonies in Crimea. The town is a well-known centre of winery in Bulgaria, with strong traditions in the production of Bulgarian wine. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps.
