Pjetër Zarishi
Pjetër Zarishi or Dom Pjeter Xarishi (1806 in Blinisht, Lezhë, Blinisht, Zadrima – 1866 in Kallmet, Lezhë) was an Albanians, Albanian Mirditë Roman Catholicism, Catholic priest and poet who established a tradition of the 19th century Catholic literature in northern Albania. He is also noted for his literary contribution to the Albanian National Awakening. His poems were primarily religious and in less extent secular. Life Zarishi was born on February 16, 1806, in Blinisht, Lezhë, Blinisht, a village in Zadrima, back then part of Ottoman Empire. He was educated at the training college of the Propaganda Fide. He was first appointed as a secretary of the Italian bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sapë in Nënshat, in the Archdiocese of Shkodrë-Pult, Shkoder Archdiocese who was transferred to Territorial Abbey of Orosh, Orosh and appointed as abbot of the remote Abbey of Orosh after one disagreement with bishop of Sapa. Blinisht, Lezhë
Blinisht is a village and a former municipality in the Lezhë County, northwestern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Lezhë. Ilija Garašanin
Ilija Garašanin ( sr-cyr, Илија Гарашанин; 28 January 1812 – 22 June 1874) was a Serbian statesman who served as the prime minister of Serbia between 1852 and 1853 and again from 1861 to 1867. Ilija Garašanin was conservative in internal politics. He believed that bureaucracy was the only way for administration to work. In foreign politics, he was the first pro-Yugoslavia statesman among Serbs. He believed that a great Yugoslav state had to maintain its independence from both Russia and Austria. He was one of the more influential Serbian politicians of the 19th century. Bib Doda Pasha (1820–1868) was the ruler of Mirdita. He held the Ottoman rank of ''kapedan'' (captain) and the honorific ''pasha'' (governor). Family Bib Doda belonged to the Gjonmarkaj clan which had led Mirdita for a long period. He started ruling his clan at a young age, since his father Gjok Doda was murdered. He married a Muslim woman , Hide (daughter of Hasan Ajazi), from Armalle village in the Lurë region. Abbot is an ecclesiastical title given to the male head of a monastery in various Western religious traditions, including Christianity.
