''Pixar Short Films Collection, Volume 2'' is a 2012 DVD and Blu-ray compilation of the Pixar animated short films following the 2007 '' Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 1'' and the 1996 ''Tiny Toy Stories''. It features 12 shorts that were released from 2007 through 2012 and it includes some student films from Pixar's directors as bonus features. ''Volume 2'' was released on November 9, 2012, by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. It is followed by ''Pixar Short Films Collection, Volume 3'', which was released on November 9, 2018. Pixar Animation Studios (commonly known as Pixar () and stylized as P I X A R) is an American computer animation studio known for its critically and commercially successful computer animated feature films. Ronnie Del Carmen
Ronnie del Carmen (born December 31, 1959) is a Filipino animation writer, director, story artist, story supervisor and production designer. He co-directed and was one of the story writers for the 2015 Pixar film '' Inside Out'', for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Enrico Casarosa (born November 20, 1971) is an Italian-American storyboard artist, film director, and writer who works at Pixar. In 2012, he was nominated for an Academy Award for the animated short film '' La Luna''. In 2022, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for ''Luca'' (2021). ''La Luna'' (, Italian and Spanish for "''The Moon"'') is a 2011 American computer-animated short film, directed and written by Enrico Casarosa in his directorial debut. ''Small Fry'' is a 2011 American computer animated short film written and directed by Angus MacLane. It was shown in theaters with ''The Muppets'' on November 23, 2011. ''Small Fry'' is the second short in the ''Toy Story Toons'' series, based on the characters from the ''Toy Story'' feature films. John Lasseter
John Alan Lasseter (; born January 12, 1957) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, voice actor, and the head of animation at Skydance Animation. He was previously the chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Disneytoon Studios, as well as the Principal Creative Advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering. Lasseter began his career as an animator with The Walt Disney Company. ''Cars Toons'' is a television series of American computer-animated short films produced by Pixar. It features the main characters Lightning McQueen and Mater from Pixar's ''Cars'' franchise non-canonically in the original plot. Larry the Cable Guy reprises his role as Mater while Keith Ferguson replaces Owen Wilson as the voice of Lightning McQueen until ''The Radiator Springs 500 ½'', when Wilson reprises his role.
