A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. The Curtis Institute of Music is a private conservatory in Philadelphia. It offers a performance diploma, Bachelor of Music, Master of Music in opera, and a Professional Studies Certificate in opera.
