Pirates (TV Series)
''Pirates'' is a British children's television sitcom about a family of pirates whose ship runs aground in North London, and they decide to live in a council house on Wordsworth Terrace, located in the same area. The series ran from 1994 to 1997 on Children's BBC. Characters Main * Hayley Elliott as Lambkin Bones, Roger's daughter. She is a fun-loving sassy tomboy who has a secret underneath her tough exterior – she doesn't like the sea. * Paul Bown as Roger Bones. A single father who is the patriarch of the family. He has a slightly sarcastic personality, and cannot co-ordinate things to achieve what he wants. * Liz Smith as Gran, Roger's eccentric mother-in-law. Children's BBC
BBC Children's and Education is the BBC division responsible for media content for children in the UK. Since the launch of specially dedicated television channels in 2002, the services have been marketed under two brands. CBBC (short for Children's BBC or initialed for Children's British Broadcasting Corporation) is aimed at children aged between 6 and 12, and CBeebies offers content for younger viewers. Unlike CBeebies, the CBBC brand pre-dates the launch of these channels and before 2002, CBBC was also the brand name used for all of the BBC's children's programmes. Macaw
Macaws are a group of New World parrots that are long-tailed and often colorful. They are popular in aviculture or as companion parrots, although there are conservation concerns about several species in the wild. A council house is a form of British public housing built by local authorities. A council estate is a building complex containing a number of council houses and other amenities like schools and shops. David Freedman (screenwriter)
David Max Freedman (born 1965) is an American writer, producer and director. He is well known as the co creator of the British animated adult comedy television series '' Aaagh! It's the Mr. Hell Show!'' for the BBC. Early life Freedman was born in Plattsburgh, New York and went to The School of Visual Arts in New York City. He now lives in the UK. Freedman worked for over 9 years in a writing partnership with Alan Gilbey. BBC One
