Pio Chiaruttini
Pio Chiaruttini (June 21, 1901 in Bozzolo – June 6, 1985 in Botticino), was an Italian businessman and inventor. Biography In 1921 started to work in Calzificio Ferrari in Botticino.It proves to be a great expert in mechanical textile, and he is appointed foreman at the factory of Roberto Ferrari.In 1942, he decided to open his first business venture, producing silk stockings and women buying the raw material from the factory founded by Don Arcangelo Tadini in Botticino. Botticino
Botticino (Brescian: ) is a town and ''comune'' (commune or municipality) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy. The ''comune'' was created in 1928 by the union of the former ''comuni'' of Botticino Mattina and Botticino Sera which today, together with San Gallo, are classified as the municipality's three ''frazioni''. Stockings (also known as hose, especially in a historical context) are close-fitting, variously elastic garments covering the leg from the foot up to the knee or possibly part or all of the thigh. Arcangelo Tadini
Arcangelo Tadini (12 October 1846 – 20 May 1912) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest. Tadini was ordained as a priest in 1870 and went on to found a religious congregation dedicated to the poor and ill while taking advantage of the Industrial Revolution to support women in work and education. Tadini was disabled due to a lame leg he had after suffering an accident while he studied for the priesthood. He initiated various parish initiatives and a relief fund for the aged and the ill. Tadini's beatification process launched in 1960 and he became titled as a Servant of God while the confirmation of his heroic virtue in 1998 enabled for him to be titled as Venerable; he was beatified on 3 October 1999 and was later canonized on 26 April 2009.
