Angelo Piò
Angelo Gabriello Piò (Bologna, 1690- Bologna, 1770) was an Italian sculptor, active in Bologna in a Rococo style. Life In Bologna, he studied from 1711 to 1712 under Andrea Ferreri (1673–1744) . He was also a pupil of Giuseppe Maria Mazza. After 1718 he studied in Rome under Camillo Rusconi (1658-1728). In 1721 Piò became a member of the ''Accademia Clementina'' in Bologna. He worked with some of the prime Bolognese architects of the time: Carlo Francesco Dotti, Alfonso Torreggiani and Giuseppe Antonio Ambrosi. His son, pupil and assistant was Domenico Piò (1715-1799). Other pupils included Filippo Scandellari (brother of Pietro) and Antonio Schiassi (died 1778).Annali della città di Bologna dalle sua origine al 1796

Antonio Pio (1753 in Ravenna – 1795), was an Italian composer. Antonio Pio (Cesena, 1809 – London, 1871) was an Italian painter, depicting history, literary themes, and genre pieces. Biography He studied in Rome at the Accademia di San Luca under Tommaso Minardi, worked in Cesena during the 1840s, after which he moved around for many years, between the cities of Florence, Paris and London, where he died in 1871. Emmanuel Pío (born 4 November 1988 in Baradero) is an Argentine football midfielder who plays for Unión San Felipe in the Chilean First Division B. Iørn Piø
Iørn Piø (24 August 1927 – 16 February 1998) was a Danish folklorist, historian, and archivist. After becoming a student at the Metropolitan School in Copenhagen in 1946, Iørn Piø studied Danish and Nordic Philology at the University of Copenhagen. Through his study, he came into contact with the Danish People's Mind Collection, and was hired as an assistant in 1955. After taking a Master's Conference in 1960 using the thesis of ''The Production of Danish partisans between 1770 and 1821, and contemporary views on the genre'', Piø was hired as an archivist at the Folklore Connection. Louis Pio
Louis Albert François Pio (1841–1894) was one of the principal founders of the organized worker's movement in Denmark, and the principal founder of the Danish Social Democratic Party. Early life Pio was born 14 December 1841 in Roskilde, Denmark. His father was an officer in the Danish Army, of French ancestry, and his mother came from a North Jutland bourgeois family. Pio's childhood was not especially happy: the family was poor and his parents divorced when he was 12. He was expelled from school due to disciplinary problems, but nevertheless managed to work as an adjunct teacher at a private school with a progressive curriculum (the Borgerdydskole). He tried, without success, to enter a teacher's seminary and, later, to obtain an officer's commission. Eventually, he began to study Danish folklore and had some success as a writer, issuing a book on Holger Danske.
