Victor Schertzinger
Victor L. Schertzinger (April 8, 1888 – October 26, 1941) was an American composer, film director, film producer, and screenwriter. His films include ''Paramount on Parade'' (co-director, 1930 in film, 1930), ''Something to Sing About (1937 film), Something to Sing About'' (1937 in film, 1937) with James Cagney, and the first two "Road" pictures ''Road to Singapore'' (1940 in film, 1940) and ''Road to Zanzibar'' (1941 in film, 1941). His two best-known songs are "I Remember You (1941 song), I Remember You" and "Tangerine (1941 song), Tangerine", both with lyrics by Johnny Mercer and both featured in Schertzinger's final film, ''The Fleet's In'' (1942 in film, 1942). William Elmer
William Elmer (April 25, 1869 – February 24, 1945) was an American actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1913 and 1942. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and died in Hollywood, California. Elmer acted in stock theater in addition to his work in films. Joseph H. Hazelton (c. 1853 – October 6, 1936), aka Joseph Hazleton, was an American stage and film actor. He appeared in 30 films between 1912 and 1922. As a boy program giver at Ford's Theatre, he witnessed the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865. Life and career Hazelton debuted on stage as a child when a production at Grover's Theater in Washington, D.C. needed a boy to play a young prince in '' King John''. Thereafter, he continued to stay around the theater, doing odd jobs and handing out programs. In 1910, he was a member of the Columbia Players in Washington, D.C. When the Pasadena Community Playhouse presented ''Our American Cousin'' in 1930, Hazelton spoke during intermission of each performance, relating what he witnessed as he observed the assassination. Andrew Arbuckle (September 5, 1887 – September 21, 1938) was an American theatre, stage and film actor. He was the brother of Macklyn Arbuckle and cousin of Roscoe Arbuckle, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. Early life Arbuckle was born in Galveston, Texas, to a family of Scottish Americans, Scottish descent. His brother Macklyn was 20 years old at the time of Andrew's birth. Career Arbuckle first made his film debut in ''Little Mary Sunshine'' (1916), playing Bob's father. In 1935, he made his last appearance in film ''The Dark Angel (1935 film), The Dark Angel'' in an uncredited role as Mr. Gallop. He appeared in a total 44 films, uncredited in ten of them.
