Adrian Virgil Pintea (; 9 October 1954 – 8 June 2007) was a Romanian actor. Career Pintea graduated from the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film, Theatrical and Cinematographical Arts Institute in Bucharest. He appeared in the 2005 Romanian film ''Femeia visurilor'' directed by Dan Pița. Pintea made his last appearance in Francis Ford Coppola's 2007 film ''Youth Without Youth (film), Youth Without Youth''. He died on 8 June 2007 from complications from cirrhosis, pulmonary and kidney hypertension, and was buried at Bellu Cemetery in Bucharest. Crina Pintea
Crina Elena Pintea (née Ailincăi; born 3 April 1990) is a Romanian professional handballer who plays as a pivot for CSM București and the Romanian national team. Considered to be one of the best pivots in the world, in 2019 she was named to the EHF Champions League All-Star Team. In 2018, she was named to the European Championship All-Star Team. Pintea is also regarded by many as one of the best defenders in the world. In recognition of her performances and achievements throughout the year, she was also voted the Romanian Handballer of the Year in 2019. Gherman Vasile Pântea (; surname also spelled Pîntea; russian: Герман Васильевич Пынтя, translit=German Vasilyevich Pyntya; uk, Герман Васильович Пинтя, translit=Herman Vasylyovich Pyntia; May 13, 1894 – February 1, 1968) was a Bessarabian-born soldier, civil servant and political figure, active in the Russian Empire and Romania. As an officer of the Imperial Russian Army during most of World War I, he helped organize the committees of Bessarabian soldiers, oscillating between loyalty to the Russian Provisional Government and the cause of Bessarabian emancipation. Pântea was subsequently Military Director of the Moldavian Democratic Republic, answering to President Ion Inculeț. He personally created a Bessarabian defense force, tasked with combating Bolshevik subversion and Russian intimidation, but also braced for defeat after the October Revolution. Horatio Pintea (born November 11, 1962) was a Canadian table tennis player. Originally from Romania, Pintea arrived in Canada in 1982. He represented Canada in international competition from 1982 until 2001. During his time on the National Team he participated in all major competitions in the world including the 1988 and 1996 Olympics as well as numerous World Championships, World Cups (teams, singles and doubles), and represented Canada in five Pan American Games over a 20 year period, and managed to capture at least one medal in each.
