Pinkfong (Hangul: 핑크퐁) is a South Korean children's educational brand of The Pinkfong Company (formerly SmartStudy), a South Korean educational entertainment company. Pinkfong consists of mainly children's songs, of which the most famous is "Baby Shark"; and its dance video eventually became the most-viewed YouTube video. As of July 2022, Pinkfong owns the most successful YouTube video of all time, "Baby Shark", with almost 12 billion views (11.8B). Their educational channel has a brightly colored programming of stories, sing-along songs and dances represented by a pink fox named "Pinkfong". "Baby Shark" is a children's song associated to a dance involving hand movements that originated as a campfire song dating back to at least the 20th century. In 2016, "Baby Shark" became very popular when Pinkfong, a South Korean entertainment company, released a version of the song with a YouTube music video that went viral across social media, online video and radio. ''Pinkfong Wonderstar'' is a South Korean preschool CGI animated television series by Pinkfong and The Pinkfong Company. It is based around its mascot of the same name. Pinkfong Wonderstar premiered in South Korea on Korean Broadcasting System on June 27, 2019, and later premiered globally on YouTube under its YouTube Originals label on December 3, 2020.
