Pink And Black Records
Pink and Black Records is an imprint record label of Fat Wreck Chords created to distribute albums from female-fronted bands. The first record released on this label was the Dance Hall Crashers album ''Purr'' in 1999. Pink & Black is named for the two favorite colors of Erin Burkett, ex-wife of Fat Mike, and one of the founders of Fat Wreck Chords. Fat Mike
Michael John Burkett (born January 16, 1967), known professionally as Fat Mike, is an American musician and producer. He is the bassist and lead vocalist for the punk rock band NOFX and the bassist for the punk rock supergroup cover band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Fat Mike started out with his first band False Alarm in 1982. He credits Joe Escalante of the Vandals for introducing him to punk rock when he was 13 at a summer camp. Musical career While attending Beverly Hills High School, Mike began his musical career with the band False Alarm. After the band split up in 1983, he met Eric Melvin and Erik Sandin and formed the original line-up of NOFX. He has also appeared as a guest-vocalist on a number of other bands' tracks including "Peter Brady" on Screeching Weasel's 1993 album, ''Anthem for a New Tomorrow''. Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. Fat Wreck Chords (pronounced "Fat Records") is a San Francisco, California-based independent record label, focused on punk rock. It was started by NOFX lead singer Michael Burkett (better known as Fat Mike) in 1990. Dance Hall Crashers
Dance Hall Crashers (often abbreviated to DHC) was an American ska punk band formed in 1989 in Berkeley, California. Initially founded by former Operation Ivy members Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, the band has had a fluid lineup over its career, with the most recent lineup (last active in 2004) includes Elyse Rogers and Karina Deniké on vocals, brothers Jason Hammon and Gavin Hammon on guitar and drums respectively, and Mikey Weiss on bass. They have released four studio albums, highlighted by the 1995 release '' Lockjaw'' which featured the minor hit song "Enough", produced by Rob Cavallo and featured in the film ''Angus''. Fabulous Disaster (band)
Fabulous Disaster was an American punk rock all-female band founded in 1998 in San Francisco, California. History Fabulous Disaster formed in San Francisco in 1998 and released their debut album, ''Pretty Killers'' (Evil Eye Records, 1999). In 2000, they signed to Fat Wreck Chords', Pink and Black imprint. They toured heavily to promote their second album, ''Put Out or Get Out''. They released ''Panty Raid!'', in 2003 and toured with bands such as NOFX, The Mad Caddies, The Briefs, The Real McKenzies, The Dickies and others. While on the Fat Wreck Tour of 2001, they won the SF Weekly Best Punk Band award. They released the EP, ''I'm a Mess'', in 2004, featuring a new lineup. More touring followed.
