Pingat Bakti Setia
The Pingat Bakti Setia (English: Long Service Award) is a Singaporean decoration instituted in 1962. The medal may be awarded to any person who has completed 25 years continuous service in the service of: * the Government. * any statutory authority (other than a Town Council). * any organisation, association or body rendering services in the field of education. * any company which is wholly owned by the Government and which is carrying on business mainly as an agent or instrumentality of the Government, and who is of irreproachable character. * the Singapore Armed Forces. The award will be followed by (Tentera), Malay for "Army", signifying the awardee's association. Description * The medal, in silver, consists of a multi-lobed disc having, on the obverse side, a circular shield bearing a crescent and 5 stars encircled by a scalloped embellishment. * The reverse bears the State Arms and name of the medal. * The ribbon is grey with a red centre band and a red stripe to each side. ...

Long Service Medal (Military) (Singapore)
The Long Service Medal (Military) is a decoration awarded to a member of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) (regardless of regular or NSmen status) who has completed 25 years of continuous service. Previously, regular servicemen were eligible for the Pingat Bakti Setia (Long Service Award) in line with other government employees, however NSmen were not eligible. Description * The ribbon is white, with a central red stripe and two flanking thin red stripes on either side. Elizabeth Choy
Elizabeth Choy Su-Moi ( née Yong; 29 November 1910 – 14 September 2006) was a Singaporean educator and councillor who is regarded as a war heroine in Singapore. Along with her husband, Choy Khun Heng, she supplied medicine, money and messages to prisoners-of-war interned in Changi Prison when the Japanese occupied Singapore during World War II. Early life Choy was born in a Hakka family in Kudat, North Borneo (now Sabah). Her great-grandparents first came to Kudat from Hong Kong to assist German missionaries in their work. The eldest of 11 children, Choy's father worked as a civil servant after completing his early education in China with some English education in North Borneo, where he married the daughter of a priest. He transferred to work in Jesselton (now Kota Kinabalu) and was later promoted to District Officer and he moved to Kalimantan. Bilahari Kim Hee Papanasam Setlur Kausikan is a Singaporean retired academic, diplomat and civil servant who served as Singapore's Permanent Representative to the United Nations between 1995 and 1998. Early life and education Kausikan's father, P.S. Raman, a British Raj-born Tamil Brahmin who moved to Singapore after the Partition of India. Lam Yi Young (; born 1972) is the Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and former Senior Civil Servant. Sivakant Tiwari
Sivakant Tiwari, P.P.A.(E.), P.B.S., P.P.A.(E.)(L.), P.J.G. (20 December 1945 – 26 July 2010), known professionally as S. Tiwari, was a senior legal officer of the Singapore Legal Service. He was educated at the University of Singapore, graduating in law in 1971. He then made the Legal Service his career, serving as head of the Ministry of Defence's legal department (1974), and head of the Attorney-General's Chambers' Civil Division (1987) and International Affairs Division (1995). Winston Choo
Winston Choo Wee Leong (; born 18 July 1941) is a Singaporean diplomat and former lieutenant-general who served as the first and longest-serving Chief of Defence Force between 1974 and 1992. Early life and education Born in Singapore, Choo grew up in Makepeace Road in the Newton area. He was given the name "Winston" by his grandfather, who named him after Winston Churchill. He attended Monk's Hill School between 1947 and 1952, and the Anglo-Chinese School between 1953 and 1957.
