Pijush Banerjee
Pijush Bandyopadhyay is a Bangladeshi stage, television and film actor. He is a former managing director of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). Bandyopadhyay is also the CEO of the privately owned television channel Ekushey Television. Career Bandyopadhyay started his acting career through the theatre troupe "Bahubachan". Later, he worked with "Natyachakra". In 1973, he, along with Nasiruddin Yousuff and Selim Al Deen, founded the troupe "Dhaka Theatre". Bandyopadhyay also directed stage plays including "Meenkanya", "Ekatturer Khudiram" and "Ekatturer Galpo". He acted in films ''Agami'', "Ekatturer Jishu" and others. He played the main character in 'Agami', which was the first parallel movie in Bangladesh, as well as in the first TV serial of Bangladesh titled 'Shokal Shondha'. Bangladesh Film Development Corporation
Bangladesh Film Development Corporation or BFDC, is a government owned and operated corporation in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nuzhat Yeasmin is the managing director of the corporation. History The organization was founded in 1959 as the East Pakistan Film Development Corporation which was changed to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation after Bangladesh achieved independence in 1971. It signed an agreement with National Film Development Corporation of India in 2016 to jointly produce a documentary on Bangladesh Liberation war. It has faced criticism on mismanagement and waste of public funds. On 3 April of evey year the National Film day of Bangladesh is observed, the day is organized and celebrated by the corporation. It stars Noor as a brash radio deejay and Mumtaheena Toya as a demure medical student, who fall in love in Dhaka during a politically turbulent 1975.
