Pietro Ichino
Pietro Ichino (born 22 March 1949) is an Italian politician and professor of labor law at the University of Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano). From 1979 to 1983, he was an independent left-wing MP belonging to the ranks of the Italian Communist Party. In 2008, he was elected senator for the Democratic Party in the district of Lombardy. Biography Born in Milan, he is brother of the economist Andrea Ichino. He has been married since 1973 to Costanza Rossi, with whom he has had two daughters. After graduating in law, he was a trade union leader, from 1969 to 1972, of the Fiom – Italian General Confederation of Labour (CGIL) trade union. After his military service, he was Head of Legal Services of the Labor Chamber of Milan from 1973 to 1979. Marco Biagi (24 November 1950 – 19 March 2002) was an Italian jurist. A native of Bologna, he was professor of labour law and industrial relations at the University of Modena. Life In 1984, Biagi was appointed Professor of Labour Law and Italian and Comparative Trade Union Law at the University of Modena, in the Department of Business Administration. Gino Giugni (1 August 1927 – 5 October 2009) was an Italian academic and politician. He served as the minister of labor and social security in the period 1993–1994. Early life and education Giugni was born in Genoa on 1 August 1927. He graduated from the University of Genoa in 1949 receiving a degree in law. Career Giugni was an expert on labour law. He began his career as a professor at the University of Bari. In 1968 he and Tiziano Treu founded the Italian Industrial Relations Research Association.
