Pierre Passi
Pierre Passi is a Republic of the Congo, Congolese politician and diplomat. He was Congo-Brazzaville's Ambassador to People's Republic of China, China from 1999 to 2007, and he was a Deputy in the National Assembly of the Republic of the Congo, National Assembly of Congo-Brazzaville from 2007 to 2012. He has been Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of Congo-Brazzaville since 2012. Diplomatic and political career When Denis Sassou Nguesso returned to power at the conclusion of the Republic of the Congo Civil War (1997–1999), June–October 1997 civil war, he appointed Passi, a northerner, as Minister of Fish and Fishery Resources on 2 November 1997. The Republic of the Congo (french: République du Congo, ln, Republíki ya Kongó), also known as Congo-Brazzaville, the Congo Republic or simply either Congo or the Congo, is a country located in the western coast of Central Africa to the west of the Congo river. 2012 Republic Of The Congo Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in the Republic of the Congo on 15 July 2012. A second round was held on 5 August 2012. The second round was previously moved forward to 29 July, without explanation, but ultimately was held on the original date. Electoral system The 139 seats in the National Assembly were elected in single-member constituencies. If no candidate received a majority of votes, a second round was held in that constituency, in which the candidate receiving the most votes was declared the winner.
