Pierre Cahuzac
Pierre Cahuzac (3 July 1927 – 31 August 2003) was a French football player and manager who played as a midfielder. As a manager, he led SC Bastia to the 1978 UEFA Cup Final. His grandson Yannick Cahuzac Yannick Cahuzac (born 18 January 1985) is a French former professional footballer and who is current assistant manager of Ligue 1 club Lens who played as a defensive midfielder. Saint-Pons-de-Thomières (; Languedocien: ''Sant Ponç de Tomièiras'') is a commune in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region in southern France. History It is named after its patron saint, Saint Pontius of Cimiez (''Pons de Cimiez'' in French), martyr under Emperor Valerian, who is venerated throughout the diocese of Montpellier. The Abbey of St-Pons was founded in 936 by Raymond, Count of Toulouse, who brought to it the monks of Saint Gerald of Aurillac. By a papal bull of 18 February 1318, Pope John XXII raised the abbey to an episcopal see. The France national football team (french: Equipe de France) represents the nation of France in international association football. It is fielded by the French Football Federation (french: Fédération Française de Football), the governing body of football in France, and competes as a member of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), which encompasses the countries of Europe. The team played its first official international match on 1 May 1904 against Belgium.
