Pierre Bardinon
Pierre Bardinon (1931 – August 2012) was a French businessman and collector of Ferrari cars. Pierre Bardinon was born in 1931, an heir to the Chapal family. He later inherited their leather and fur business. Bardinon owned the Circuit du Mas du Clos racing track near his "Mas du Clos" estate near Aubusson in central France. He had three children, Patrick, Anne and Jean-Francois Bardinon. Anne and Jean-Francois sued Patrick for breach of trust after he sold Ferrari 250 GTO for Euro 38 million to a Taiwanese buyer in 2014, and although they lost the case, the appeals court in Limoges ruled in their favour in 2020, and ordered Patrick to pay Euro 52.3 million euros to their common inheritance fund. Circuit Du Mas Du Clos
Circuit du Mas du Clos is a racing circuit located in Mas du Clos, Saint-Avit-de-Tardes, France. It was founded by Pierre Bardinon, one of the most famous Ferrari collectors in the world, in 1963. The track was initially created for private use before being opened to the public for private events by his son Patrick Bardinon, who took over ownership of the track when his father died. The track is now managed by racing driver Alexandre Bardinon, the grandson of the founder. As of 2010, the race track is also the base of a modern and historical race team well known under the name "Mas Du Clos Racing MCR". The château located next to the track was also owned by Pierre Bardinon. Patrick Bardinon now owns it, as well as a private collection of Ferrari Ferrari S.p.A. Aubusson, Creuse
Aubusson (; Occitan auvergnat: ''Le Buçon'', formerly ''Aubuçon'') is a commune in the Creuse department region in central France. Geography Aubusson is situated in the southern part of the ''département'', at the confluence of the rivers Creuse and Beauze. The route nationale N141 goes through the town. History Local lore previously held that the community was settled by defeated Berbers following the 8th-century Battle of Tours, but it is now established that Aubusson has existed at least since the Gallo-Roman period. Ferrari 250 GTO
The Ferrari 250 GTO is a GT car produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964 for homologation into the FIA's Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. It was powered by Ferrari's ''Tipo 168/62'' Colombo V12 engine. The "250" in its name denotes the displacement in cubic centimeters of each of its cylinders; "GTO" stands for ''Gran Turismo Omologato'', Italian for "Grand Touring Homologated." Just 36 of the 250 GTOs were manufactured between 1962 and 1964. This includes 33 cars with 1962-63 bodywork (Series I) and three with 1964 (Series II) bodywork similar to the Ferrari 250 LM. Four of the older 1962-1963 (Series I) cars were updated in 1964 with Series II bodies. When new, the 250 GTO cost $18,000 in the United States, with buyers personally approved by Enzo Ferrari and his dealer for North America, Luigi Chinetti. Alexandre Bardinon
Alexandre Bardinon (born 9 May 2002) is a French-Swiss racing driver who last competed in the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship under a French license for FA Racing. He is the grandson of French businessman and Ferrari collector Pierre Bardinon and the son of racing driver Patrick Bardinon, who raced in the 80's within the Formula 3 and Formula 2 championships. He is the current owner of the Circuit du Mas du Clos, a race track founded by his grandfather in 1963. Career Debut in cars In 2018 Bardinon started his racing career as he drove in the French GT4 Cup for M Racing - YMR where he achieved one podium. He also raced in V de V Challenge Monoplace for Formula Motorsport where he once again achieved one podium finish.
