Pierce was a small unincorporated area in Will County, located in Wilton Township. Pierce was around two miles south of Wilton Center and was about six miles southwest of Peotone Peotone () is a village in Will County, Illinois, United States. The population was 4,142 at the 2010 census, an increase from 3,385 in 2000. The city is about south of Chicago. The village is home to the Peotone High School Blue Devils. History .... Geography and history Pierce has the South Branch of Forked Creek flowing through which was one of the main sources of water when Pierce was still around. Wilton Center is an unincorporated community in southern Will County, Illinois, United States. It is located on flat land 10 miles northeast of Wilmington, 5 miles south of Manhattan, and 8 miles west of Peotone. It has a population of about 150. Geography U.S. Route 52 goes through Wilton Center. Other main roads are Cedar Rd., Peotone-Wilmington Rd., and Elevator Rd. Other roads in Wilton Center are Arsenal Rd. and Quigley Rd.
