Pien Chien Huang
Pien-Chien Huang (; 13 July 1931 – 3 August 2020) was a Chinese-American molecular biologist. Huang was born in Shanghai on 13 July 1931. He graduated from National Taiwan University in 1952, with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. Huang earned a master's degree at Virginia Tech in 1956, followed by a doctorate from Ohio State University in 1960. He was elected to the Academia Sinica Academia Sinica (AS, la, 1=Academia Sinica, 3=Chinese Academy; ), headquartered in Nangang, Taipei, is the national academy of Taiwan. National Taiwan University
National Taiwan University (NTU; ) is a public research university in Taipei, Taiwan. The university was founded in 1928 during Japanese rule as the seventh of the Imperial Universities. It was named Taihoku Imperial University and served during the period of Japanese colonization. After World War II, the Nationalist Kuomintang (KMT) government assumed the administration of the university.
