Picture Of Perfect Youth
''Picture of Perfect Youth'' is a limited CD and vinyl collection of approximately half of Feeder's B-sides at the time of release. The official website sold out of the CD edition, though the album was re-released in March 2007. The vinyl edition remained available to buy, until the last of the stock sold out in late 2005. The compilation was released with little fanfare; the only single on it was 2001's "Just a Day". However, the band's covers of singles "Can't Stand Losing You" and " The Power of Love"—originally released by The Police and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, respectively—are included. Feeder's cover of "The Power of Love" had been featured on the NME/ War Child ''1 Love'' compilation of covers of former UK number 1 singles. ''Kerrang!'' rated the album 3/5 upon its initial release, but a review after the album's reissue from the same publication reduced the rating to 2/5. The re-release charted in the UK albums chart at #65. It also charted at number 3 in the UK I ...

Kerrang!
''Kerrang!'' is a British weekly magazine devoted to rock, punk and heavy metal music, currently published by Wasted Talent (the same company that owns electronic music publication ''Mixmag''). It was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the ''Sounds'' newspaper. Named after the onomatopoeic word that derives from the sound made when playing a power chord on a distorted electric guitar, ''Kerrang!'' was initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts. In the early 2000s, it became the best-selling British music weekly. History ''Kerrang!'' was founded in 1981. The editor of the weekly music magazine ''Sounds'', Alan Lewis, suggested that Geoff Barton edit a one-off special edition focusing on the new wave of British heavy metal phenomenon and on the rise of other hard rock acts.

Crash (Feeder Song)
"Crash" was the third single from Feeder's critically acclaimed 1997 album ''Polythene''. It made number 48 in mid-August of the same year, giving Feeder their first top-50 hit despite the band still yet to appear on Radio 1's playlist at the time. The song refers to a relationship. The B-side "Here In The Bubble" was a working title for the ''Polythene'' album, which leads to many fans wondering if this track would have been on the album had the original title of the same name stayed. Also on the single is an acoustic version of the album track "Forgive". Critical reception ''Kerrang!'' referred to the song as "one of the finest slices of pop-coated rock you could ever wish to hear", and rated the single "KKKK" (four stars out of five), further noting that the full single was another of "Grant Nicholas' big-booted, gorgeously bruised stompers" and commented "one wonders what you have to do to get played on Radio 1 these days". HMV promoted the single with a press advertisemen ...

Tangerine (Feeder Song)
"Tangerine" is a song by British rock band Feeder, released as the band's second single, and the first that was taken from the ''Polythene'' album. The single managed to gain word-of-mouth success and made #60 on the UK top 75- their first of 25 hit singles to date. The song is featured on the original '' Gran Turismo'' game as an instrumental. Grant once said that the song is about the struggles the band experienced while trying to get a record contract. During the 2020 Covid lockdown, a radio presenter living in Bath, discovered during a clear out of his attic and shed, a series of master tapes containing acoustic radio sessions he did with various established and up and coming bands. Amongst these was an early performance of b-side “Rain” performed in 1997, sometime before this single was released. Music video The music video (directed by Toby Duckett) begins with a first person camera sequence of being let in by a doorman to a squat known as Oddballs Hall. The now demol ...

Seven Days In The Sun
"Seven Days in the Sun" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder, released as the second single from their ''Echo Park'' album. It was released on 2 April 2001 and reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart the same month. CD1 of the single features "Just a Day", which was later released as a single. Music video The music video for the song features band members Grant Nicholas, Taka Hirose, and the late Jon Lee on a beach shot in Cape Town, South Africa, implementing various methods of reeling in some girls. Grant dresses up as a bike salesman, and gets the girls' passports in exchange for bicycles, Taka, a waiter in order to "demonstrate" his cooking skills, and Jon, in drag, possibly to show them his feminine side. However, it is only Taka that succeeds to impress. Nine years since the video was shot, Feeder released via their Facebook page previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage. The Taka’s bass guitar from the video was later put on display at the Cardiff branch of ...

Buck Rogers (song)
"Buck Rogers" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was the first single to be taken from their third studio album, ''Echo Park'' (2001), and was released on The Echo Label. The track reached number five on the UK Singles Chart after its release on 8 January 2001. The group had originally not intended the track to be one of theirs, as frontman and main songwriter of the band Grant Nicholas originally wrote "Buck Rogers" for SR-71, only for producer Gil Norton and A&R staff of Echo to convince the band they could have a hit with it themselves, after hearing a demo recorded by Feeder. It continues to be played on UK alternative radio stations as a classic hit of its genre during the early 2000s. The song title was inspired by the television show of the same name as Nicholas wanted to create a futuristic sound. Critical reaction was largely positive with the song being named one of ''Kerrang!'' magazine's "666 Songs You Must Own" in November 2004, and appearing on various other l ...

Find The Colour
"Find the Colour" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder, released as the fourth single from their fourth studio album, ''Comfort in Sound'', on 22 September 2003. The single peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The music video sees the band performing in a dark room, with the camera panning around them while they are performing. The action is seen in slow motion, and are actually performing "Godzilla" from their ''Comfort in Sound'' album, with the video slown down with "Find the Colour" edited into the video so it looks like they are performing a different song. This could be seen as the band not being too keen on having the song as a single release. It was noted by frontman Grant Nicholas in an interview on now-defunct TV channel The Amp that as the video is seen in slow motion from start to end, it has done something not done by many or any music videos in the past. Reception Before the release of the single, the video was getting many plays on MTV2 in t ...

Come Back Around
"Come Back Around" is the first single released from Welsh rock band Feeder's fourth studio album, ''Comfort in Sound'' (2002). It was their first release after drummer Jon Lee's death earlier in the year and reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the band's 10th top-40 hit in the process. It also reached number 45 in Ireland. The promo video features four female drummers as a tribute to Jon Lee. Feeder also have a B-side with the same name which was released two years later on their B-sides album, "Picture of Perfect Youth", in 2004. It reached number 22 on the UK Singles Chart and was at the time Feeder's fourth consecutive single to reach the top 40. When the single charted in the UK, it was their biggest hit at the time and got them on the popular now defunct UK music show "Top Of The Pops". It also seen their only performance on TFI Friday, also a now defunct TV show.
