Pictionary (2022 Game Show)
''Pictionary'' is an American television game show hosted by Jerry O'Connell which premiered in syndication on September 12, 2022. The show is produced by Fox First Run and Bill Market & Television Production in association with Mattel Television and distributed by CBS Media Ventures. In January 2023, it was announced that the show along with 5 others were renewed for the 2023-24 television season by Fox First Run which premiered on September 11, 2023. Gameplay With the other two Pictionary game shows, they mostly kept the same rules and gameplay. but in this version, they made their own rules. Quick Draw The show starts with a quick draw for 100 points. A video is shown of someone drawing an item. Contestants have to buzz in when they know the answer. Sketch or Steal Teams alternate with each other drawing images of answers. One member draws while their two teammates must give the correct answer in 15 seconds for 100 points. ''Pictionary'' is an American children’s game show based on the picture-drawing board game of the same name. The first of three game shows based on the board game (preceding a 1997 version and a 2022 current version both for adults), this edition ran for sixty-five episodes between June 12 and September 8, 1989. ''Pictionary'' was a joint production of Barry & Enright Productions and QMI Television, and was distributed by MCA Television. Gameplay Two teams of three competed against each other, drawing pictures on a telestrator. Round one One player at a time drew a picture for his/her teammates to guess. Once the picture was guessed or 20 seconds had elapsed, the next player in line began to draw. Each team had 60 seconds to guess as many pictures as possible, and the high scorers received 10 points. ''Win, Lose or Draw'' is an American television game show that aired from 1987 to 1990 in syndication and on NBC. It was taped at CBS Television City (one of the few non-CBS game shows to tape there), often in Studios 31, 33, and 43 at various times. It was co-produced by Burt & Bert Productions (headed by Burt Reynolds and Bert Convy, the original host of the syndicated version) and Kline & Friends for Disney's Buena Vista Television. Alan Thicke (born Alan Willis Jeffrey; March 1, 1947December 13, 2016) was a Canadian actor, songwriter, and game and talk show host. He is the father of singer Robin Thicke. In 2013, Thicke was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. Thicke was best known for playing Dr. Jason Seaver on the 1980s sitcom ''Growing Pains'' on ABC. ''Pictionary'' is an American television game show which aired in syndication during the 1997–1998 season. The game was based on the board game of the same name where contestants guessed words and phrases based on drawings. Alan Thicke hosted the show with Joe Cipriano announcing. The series was a production of Kline and Friends and was distributed by Worldvision Enterprises. ''Pictionary'' had a similar format to the earlier ''Win, Lose or Draw'', which Kline's company also produced. The game mechanic was virtually identical, with two teams consisting of two celebrities and a civilian contestant competing. The series was recorded at CBS Television City in Hollywood. Angel Games licensed Pictionary to Western Publishing. Hasbro purchased the rights in 1994 after acquiring the games business of Western Publishing. Mattel acquired ownership of Pictionary in 2001.
