Picolo
Picolo is the name of a character created by Paul Buissonneau for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Picolo is also the title track of several program series with Paul Buissonneau in the title role aired on television channel CBC. For several years, even in official sources, the spelling Picolo or Piccolo is used.As part of the show ''The Children of TV'' aired December 12, 2012 and relating to youth programming, an extract from the very first episode 1956 was released and the title was written 'Piccolo' with two "c". 'Picolo' is spelled with two "c" in the 'This is Radio-Canada - schedule TV and radio' 1967 It is only under the name 'Picolo' (with a "c ") that Paul Buissonneau registered the trademark with the Canadian Intellectual property Office. Paul Buissonneau
Paul Georges Buissonneau, (born 24 December 1926 – 30 November 2014) was a leading francophone theatre director in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Born in Paris, France, Buissonneau started his career as a singer with the French chorus Les Compagnons de la chanson, alongside Édith Piaf who was also singing with the group at the time. He parted company with the chorus during a tour of North America, and settled in Quebec. In 1952, the City of Montreal appointed Buissonneau as artistic director of ''La Roulotte'', a parks-based outdoor theatre, which gave an early opportunity to famous Quebec artists Yvon Deschamps, Jean-Louis Millette, Claude Jasmin, Claude Léveillé, Marcel Sabourin and Robert Charlebois. In 1956, he founded his own company, the Théâtre de Quat'Sous (Four-penny Theatre) and served as its artistic director until 1989. Madeleine Arbour
Madeleine Arbour (born March 3, 1923) is a Canadian designer, painter, and journalist living in Quebec. She was the first woman to preside over the Conseil des arts in Montreal. Arbour is recognized as a pioneer in interior design, communication and visual arts. Career Born in Granby, Quebec on March 3, 1923, Arbour has worked in Quebecois television as a journalist and as a set designer. She has also worked in theatre, designing costumes and sets, including the Théâtre du Rideau Vert and the .
