Pick Me!
''Pick Me!'' is a British game show that aired on ITV from 19 October to 20 November 2015 and is hosted by Stephen Mulhern and voiced by Roy Walker, both of whom have presented ''Catchphrase''. Format Mulhern picks three contestants out of the audience, who are wearing flashy outfits in an attempt to be noticed by Mulhern. He will then pick a fourth. The fourth will then be posed three questions and will ask each of the three players for one answer. One of the podiums is loaded with a prize such as a holiday, white goods or a vehicle, and that player has the answers in front of them. The other two will have to make up their answers. If the fourth player can pick the correct podium, (s)he will win that prize. Whichever player is picked wins £1,000 and is replaced; contestants who are picked and manage to bluff their way to being picked are offered a gamble: £1,000 and that prize if they can identify who was correct. Stephen Mulhern
Stephen Daniel Mulhern is an English television presenter, magician, and comedian. He began his television career on CITV, presenting the children's shows ''Finger Tips'' (2001–2004) and ''Tricky TV'' (2005–2010). Mulhern has presented various television shows for ITV, including ''Britain's Got More Talent'' (2007–2019), ''Animals Do the Funniest Things'' (2007–2011), ''This Morning's Hub'' (2011–2014), ''Catchphrase'' (2013–present), ''Big Star's Little Star'' (2013–2018), '' In for a Penny'' (2019–present), and '' Rolling In It'' (2020–2021). Roy Walker (comedian)
Robert "Roy" Walker (born 31 July 1940) is a Northern Irish television personality and comedian, who worked for many years as both a television presenter and comedy actor. He is best known as the original host of the game show ''Catchphrase'' between 1986 and 1999, and as one of the stars of the comedy showcase '' The Comedians''. Early life Born in Belfast, as a teenager Walker performed in the Francis Longford Choir, then worked as a riveter in the Harland and Wolff shipyard. He was the Ireland champion hammer thrower for three years, and represented them internationally. He spent a short time as a comedy partner of James Young before serving seven years in the British Army. Walker first started work aged 12. By the end of the 1960s, he was running a pawn shop whilst working in the evenings as the compère at the Talk of the Town club in Belfast. ITV (TV Network)
ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Catchphrase (British Game Show)
''Catchphrase'' is a British game show based on the short-lived American game show of the same name. It originally aired on ITV in the United Kingdom between 12 January 1986 and 23 April 2004. A currently running revival premiered on ITV on 7 April 2013. ''Catchphrase'' was presented by Northern Irish comedian Roy Walker from its 1986 premiere until 1999, airing weekly at night. Nick Weir took the programme over in 2000 and hosted it until the end of series 16 on 23 April 2004. Mark Curry replaced Weir for the final series, which moved to a daytime slot and ran from 24 June to 19 December 2002. On 27 August 2012, a revived pilot was made by STV Studios and Digital Rights Group (DRG) with new host Stephen Mulhern. The Rose d'Or ('Golden Rose') is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux. The awards stayed with the EBU for almost 40 years. The EBU re-acquired the awards in 2013 and successfully re-launched the event that year in Brussels, then relocated to Berlin from 2014 to 2018. In 2014 the event took place on 17 September in Berlin, Germany.
