Picasso (ピカソ ''Pikaso'') is a Japanese rock band which made its debut in 1984 with ''Honki! Tricky Lady''. In 1986, their experimental sound gained them wide popularity among anime fans with their hits ''Cinema'' and ''Fantasy'', both theme songs for the anime television series '' Maison Ikkoku''. , better known by his stage name , is a Japanese lyricist, composer and poet who is affiliated with Amuse, Inc. He has written over 2,000 songs for numerous artists such as Kyosuke Himuro, Takuro Yoshida and Junichi Inagaki and theme songs for anime series including ''Dragon Ball Z''.
