Phoenix Raynor
Phoenix Warner (previously Raynor) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera '' Shortland Street''. He has been portrayed by Geordie Holibar since his debut in the show's first ever 90 minute episode in August 2010. The character was introduced as the previously unknown son of long-standing character Chris Warner (Michael Galvin) and ex-wife Alison Raynor ( Danielle Cormack). The character departed after dying of an overdose in the episode airing 23 October 2020. Phoenix later returned that December when Chris imagined him as a ghost. Creation and casting After creating the role, producers researched baby name trends throughout the nineties and decided upon the name; "Phoenix". ''Shortland Street'' is a New Zealand prime-time soap opera centring on the fictitious Shortland Street Hospital, first broadcast on TVNZ 2 on 25 May 1992. It is New Zealand's longest-running drama and soap opera, being broadcast continuously for over 7,500 episodes and 30 years, and is one of the most watched television programmes in New Zealand. Guy Warner
Guy Warner is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' who was portrayed by Craig Parker in a guest role in 1992 before returning as core cast from 1993 to 1996. Guy returned for the shows 15th anniversary in May 2007 and again from December 2007 to April 2008. Creation and casting Craig Parker was cast as the role of Guy - Chris Warner's (Michael Galvin) brother, in 1992, a role he maintained for 4 years, before quitting and filming his final scenes in March 1996. Both Warner brothers made their last appearance in an episode written by Steven Zanoski that aired in May that year. Michael Galvin (born 27 March 1967) is a New Zealand actor, singer and playwright, well known for his role as Chris Warner on the soap opera Shortland Street, a character he has played almost since the show's debut in 1992 until 1996 and again from 2000 to present, and remains as of 2020, the only original cast member.
