Phoenix Heights, also known as 4 Mastmaker Road, is a mixed tenure residential development in the Millwall area of London, near to South Quay DLR station and Canary Wharf. It forms a social housing commitment developed as part of the nearby Pan Peninsula project. Design Phoenix Heights consists of 199 mixed tenure homes with integral community areas significantly having a high proportion of family homes with access to outdoor space in such a high-density location. The development varies in height from 3 to 23 storeys negotiating an abrupt shift in urban scale from the Barkantine Estate to the West with the emerging Millennium Quarter to the East. Pan Peninsula, also known as 1 Millharbour, is a residential development on the Isle of Dogs, London located near South Quay DLR station. Pan Peninsula is one of several high-rise residential developments that have been constructed on the Isle of Dogs. Design Pan Peninsula consists of two towers—the taller East tower is and 48 storeys, surpassing the towers of the Barbican Estate and one of three joint 44th-tallest buildings in London as of March 2023. The shorter West tower is and 38 storeys tall. The East tower was topped-out in September 2007. Both buildings were completed in 2008, with the first residents moving in from early 2009. Tall Buildings In London
St Paul's Cathedral, built in 1710, was the tallest building in London at until it was overtaken in 1963 by the Millbank Tower at , which in turn was overtaken by the BT Tower which topped out at tall in 1964. Riverside South (Canary Wharf)
Riverside South is a proposed skyscraper development in Canary Wharf, London. Some below ground-level work was completed by 2014 on behalf of investment bank J.P. Morgan & Co., which bought a 999-year lease on the site with the intention of making the building its London office, but the firm has now moved into an existing Canary Wharf building. Future plans for Riverside South have not been publicised. Planning The development is being planned by J.P. Morgan & Co., which purchased a 999-year lease on the site from Canary Wharf Group in November 2008. It will be located on the western side of the Isle of Dogs, immediately south of Westferry Circus on the edge of the River Thames. Piers Gough
Piers Gough (born 24 April 1946) is an architect in the practice CZWG. His younger brothers are the composer Orlando Gough and Jamie Gough, the University of Sheffield's senior lecturer in Town and Regional Planning. Gough was born in Brighton, grew up in Hove, and went to Uppingham School, Rutland. He studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and qualified in 1971. He co-founded the practice Campbell Zogolovitch Wilkinson and Gough, (now CZWG), in 1975. While working on his own house in east London in the 1970s, he fell through the floor and damaged his spine. The drop was only 10 feet but he was hospitalised for six months and now walks with the aid of a stick.
