Phish 3D
''Phish 3D'' is a 2010 concert film in 3D featuring the rock band Phish. It was filmed at Phish's Festival 8, a three-day, eight-set, 16-hour concert performed in October 2009 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California. The film opened with a sneak preview on April 20, 2010, followed by a limited one week engagement which began on April 30, 2010. The movie was produced by Action 3D Productions in association with Network Live and Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. Containing songs exclusive to the film, ''Phish 3D'' features footage of the festival, viewed by over 40,000 fans, and of the band backstage and in rehearsals. Trey Anastasio
Ernest Joseph "Trey" Anastasio III (born September 30, 1964) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band Phish, which he co-founded in 1983. He is credited by name as composer of 152 Phish original songs, 141 of them as a solo credit, in addition to 41 credits attributed to the band as a whole. In addition to his work with Phish, Anastasio has released 11 solo albums, and been part of several side projects including the Trey Anastasio Band, Oysterhead, Ghosts of the Forest, Phil Lesh and Friends, and Surrender to the Air. He has performed his own compositions with the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and many others. Exile On Main St
''Exile on Main St.'' is the 10th British and 12th American studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 12 May 1972 by Rolling Stones Records. Recording began in 1969 in England during sessions for ''Sticky Fingers'' and continued in mid-1971 at a rented villa in the South of France named Nellcôte while the band lived abroad as tax exiles. A collage of various images, the album's artwork, according to frontman Mick Jagger, reflects the Rolling Stones as "runaway outlaws using the blues as its weapon against the world". Working with a mobile recording studio, the loose and unorganised Nellcôte sessions went on for hours into the night, with personnel varying greatly from day to day. "Shine a Light" is a song released by English rock band the Rolling Stones on their 1972 album '' Exile on Main St.'' about founding band member Brian Jones and was subsequently reworked and released after his 1969 death. Background Although credited to Mick Jagger and Stones guitarist Keith Richards, as is customary with any song they write jointly or not, it is entirely a Mick Jagger composition. Jagger's earliest versions were from 1968 before Jones was expelled from the Stones due to his inability to tour. "Loving Cup" is a song by the Rolling Stones, which appears on their 1972 album ''Exile on Main St.'' An early version of "Loving Cup", with a completely different piano intro, was recorded between April and July 1969 at Olympic Sound Studios in London, during the ''Let It Bleed'' sessions. (This version of the song—or at least part of it, spliced with another outtake—was released in 2010 on the deluxe remastered release of ''Exile on Main St''.) Background Mick Jagger performs lead and backing vocals with Keith Richards. Richards and Mick Taylor perform the song's guitars. Jon Fishman
Jon Fishman (born February 19, 1965) is an American drummer known for his work with the band Phish, which he co-founded in 1983, and which was, in part, named after him. He is credited with co-writing nineteen Phish songs, eight with a solo credit. Early life Fishman was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Syracuse, New York. Fishman had a passion for the drums from an early age and emulated John Bonham, the drummer for Led Zeppelin, Bill Bruford of Yes, and Keith Moon of The Who. He went to Jamesville-Dewitt High School in a suburb of Syracuse. After graduation in 1983, he attended the University of Vermont to study engineering.
