Philippines Women's National Futsal Team
The Philippines women's national Futsal team represents the Philippines in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Philippine Futsal Committee of the Philippine Football Federation. History A women's futsal team was formed around the mid-2000s when Emmanuel Batungbacal first came into the contact with Philippine Football Federation. At that time Johnny Romualdez was the federation president and former Ateneo player Domeka Garamenda was the secretary general. Batungbacal was given the greenlight to form a team but he had to rely on his funding. The team joined the 2005 Asian Indoor Games where they finished fourth place. They later joined the 2007 Southeast Asian Games where they overcame Malaysia in the bronze medal game. In 2007, José Mari Martínez would succeed Romualdez as PFF president. The Ninoy Aquino Stadium, now known as PSC Multipurpose Gym, is an indoor sporting arena located in the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, Philippines. Originally built in the 1950s, it was renovated and renamed for Philippine senator Benigno S. The Tuloy Foundation, Inc. is a Philippine charitable organization focused on the marginalized youth. It was founded in 1993 by Marciano G. Evangelista of the Salesians of Don Bosco. History The Tuloy Foundation was founded in 1993 by Salesian priest Rocky Evangelista in a small room at the St. John Bosco Parish Compound in Makati, Metro Manila with 12 children under its care. Esmaeil Sedigh is an Iranian futsal coach and instructor based in the Philippines. He was a former football player in U21 1st division in Iran. He has held the position of futsal department director under the Philippine Football Federation. Sedigh is known for his contributions in the development of Philippines national futsal team. José Mari Martínez was a Filipino sports executive who served as President of the Philippine Football Federation and a Philippine international footballer. The 2007 Southeast Asian Games ( th, กีฬาแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ 2007, Kila haeng echiye tawan oak chiyeng tai 2007), officially known as the 24th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), Thailand. This was the sixth time Thailand hosted the Southeast Asian Games and its first time since 1995. Previously, Thailand also hosted the 1959 inaugural games, 1967 games, 1975 games and the 1985 games. The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. Juan Miguel "Johnny" del Gallego Romualdez was a former Philippine international footballer and former President of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). Early life and education Johnny Romualdez was born to a family of doctors and was the second eldest child among his six other siblings. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hardcourt, hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and Indoor soccer, indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football.
