Seiko Films was a Philippine film production company owned and run by Robbie Tan. It is known for its bold film of the late 1990s. Seiko Films was known for its tagline "If it's from Seiko, it must be good" used from 1989 to 1994. History Seiko Films made its initial offering in 1984 with the trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon starring in ''Goodah!'', directed by Mike Relon Makiling. Since then, after the People Power Revolution, Seiko Films fast became one of the major productions in the late 80s, alongside Monteverde's Regal Films and Vic Del Rosario's Viva Films. Don Escudero
Placido Escudero, known as Don Escudero, was a Filipino movie writer, actor, and director. Life and career Escudero was born on January 27, 1955, in Tiaong, Quezon. He graduated from De La Salle University, San Juan. He started in entertainment as an assistant, working with Lino Brocka, Ishmael Bernal Ishmael Bernal (30 September 1938 – 2 June 1996) was a Filipino filmmaker, stage and television director, actor and screenwriter. Noted for his melodramas, particularly with feminist and moral issues, he directed many landmark Filipino films ... and Mike de Leon. Escudero was diagnosed with cancer and went through two years of treatments and had a remission before dying. He was survived by his mother Millie, brothers Manolet and Ugi and sister Mari. Regal Entertainment, Inc. (formerly and more commonly known as Regal Films) is a Philippine film production company based in Pasig. It was founded by Lily Monteverde on August 19, 1962. It has produced movies of all genres; and is the oldest surviving movie studio in the Philippines. History In the beginning, Mother Lily Monteverde and her father Remy put up a popcorn stand at the Podmon Theater (now LRT-2 Recto Station) in C.M. Recto, Manila (which served as the head office of Regal before it moved to the Valencia studio and eventually to the Tycoon Center in Ortigas Center, Pasig). Ferdinand Hipolito Navarro (born January 4, 1977), known professionally as Vhong Navarro, is a Filipino comedian, actor, dancer, recording artist and television host. He is a regular host on ABS-CBN's noontime variety show '' It's Showtime''. He is also part of the dance group Streetboys alongside fellow ''It's Showtime'' host Jhong Hilario. Isabella Villarama Granada (; March 9, 1976 – November 4, 2017) was a Filipino actress and singer.
