Philippe Parreno
Philippe Parreno (born 1964 in Oran, Algeria) is a contemporary French artist who lives and works in Paris. His works include films, Installation art, installations, performances, drawings, and text. Parreno focuses on expanding ideas of time and duration through his artworks and distinctive conception of exhibitions as a medium. His style shows a preference to projects rather than objects. He began examining unique approaches to narration and representation in the 1990s and has been exhibiting internationally ever since. Early life and education Parreno was born in Oran, in Algeria. From 1983 until 1988, he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Grenoble and at the ''Institute des hautes études en arts plastiques'' at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris from 1988 until 1989. Jonathan Bepler is an American composer of experimental music perhaps best known for his collaborative work with artists and choreographers, including many years of work with visual artist Matthew Barney. Manchester International Festival
The Manchester International Festival is a biennial international arts festival, with a specific focus on original new work, held in the English city of Manchester and run by Factory International.
