Philip Ozouf Jr
Philip Ozouf is a Jersey politician who is currently serving as the Minister for External Relations and Financial Services and a Deputy for the Parish of St Saviour. He was a member of the States of Jersey from 1999 until 2018, serving as Economic Development Minister, Treasury and Resources Minister, and Assistant Chief Minister in the Council of Ministers. Early life and education Philip Francis Cyril Ozouf was born in Jersey. He is the son of farmer and former Connétable of Saint Saviour Philip Francis Ozouf. He was educated at Victoria College, Jersey, then attended the European Business School in London, Frankfurt and Paris; he gained a BA (Hons) International Business and French Equivalent. He also qualified to diploma stage of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He describes himself as a "reasonably fluent" French, German and Spanish speaker. 2008 Jersey General Election
The Jersey general election, 2008 was a series of elections that were taking place in two stages in October and November 2008 in Jersey. Constable elections For the first time since 1948 the elections of constables for the twelve parishes of Jersey have been synchronised so that polling, where necessary, will take place on the same day as the senatorial election on 15 October 2008, in accordance with the Connétables (Jersey) Law 2008 (registered 28 March 2008). At Assemblies of Electors held in nine parishes on 17 September 2008, constables in five parishes were returned unopposed: St Brelade, St Martin, St Ouen, Trinity and St Saviour. Sarah Craig Ferguson ( – 14 September 2022) was a Jersey politician. Sarah studied at Manchester University, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering and took her MBA at Columbia University Graduate School of Business in New York City, majoring in Finance and accountancy with a minor in marketing. She worked in manufacturing, retail, finance, compliance but spent the major part of her career in finance concluding as a Senior banking supervisor at the Financial Services Commission. In her spare time she also served as a Constables Officer and later as a Centenier in St Brelade. . She was a member of the States of Jersey since 2002, and was sworn in as a Senator in November 2008. She lost her seat in 2014. Alongside the unpaid Honorary Police, the States Police make up the 13 official police forces in the island, though the States Police are the only force to be a paid and to operate island-wide.
