Phil Kelly (Artist) (1950–2010) was an Irish expressionist painter who became a Mexican citizen in 1999. Biography Phil Kelly was brought up in England with strong influences from his Irish ancestry. He was educated at Rugby School and studied Art and Special Education at college in Bath. On leaving college he lived in London, Portugal and then in Whitby, North Yorkshire, all with fellow artist Ann Woods, seeking to establish himself as a painter while earning money through a variety of jobs including van driving, farmwork and teaching. From 1974 to 1981, he exhibited his work in small galleries wherever he lived, some in Portugal, some in the UK. In 1982 he made his first visit to Mexico and a new chapter in his life began. Until now his paintings were influenced by such artists as Freud, Auerbach and Jack Yeats and by the landscape and colours of Northern Europe. Phil Kelly (Australian Footballer)
Phillip Vincent Kelly (born 26 August 1957) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for East Perth in the West Australian National Football League and North Melbourne in the Victorian Football League. He represented Western Australia at interstate football on six occasions. Kelly played mostly as a wingman but was also used as times on the ball. He started his career in 1975 at East Perth. He won Sandover Medals in both 1978 and 1979 to become the second East Perth player, after Graham Farmer, to have won the award in successive years. In 1978, he was a member of East Perth's premiership side. Kelly transferred to North Melbourne in 1981 and remained with them for five seasons. Philip Kelly was an English footballer A football player or footballer is a sportsperson who plays one of the different types of football. The main types of football are association football, American football, Canadian football, Australian rules football, Gaelic football, rugby le ... who played as a midfielder. Kelly played for Liverpool doing their inaugural 1892–93 season. He made three appearances for the club during that season, but towards the end of the season he was attacked by two members of an opposing team and suffered a leg injury which ended his playing career. However, he remained active in football and was a trainer for several amateur clubs including West Toxteth Labour AFC and Africa Royal FC. He was also a talent spotter into his seventies for South Liverpool FC. Philip Timothy Kelly (August 29, 1901 – July 24, 1985) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1951 to 1958 who represented the northern Ontario riding of Cochrane North. He was a cabinet minister in the government of Leslie Frost. He was implicated in the Northern Ontario Natural Gas and was forced to resign from cabinet.
